Transport Session Management for Multicast Transport Protocol
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes the transport session management (TSM) architecture and mechanisms for one-tomany multicast sessions. TSM is one of the crucial components for the multicast transport protocols, along with the reliability management. The main purpose of TSM is to maintain an active Transport Session stable and desirable. TSM is also extended to support the effective billing/charging and the group key management, according to the application’s requirement

"A proposed framework of QoS management over multicast transport"
This paper describes a framework of QoS management for one-to-many multicast communications in the context of a new multicast transport protocol called the Enhanced Communication Transport Protocol (ECTP). ECTP is a transport protocol designed to support Internet multicast applications, such as audio and video, which is currently being standardised in ITU.T SG7. ECTP operates over IP networks t...
متن کاملA Transport Protocol For Reliable Multicast Over IP-Multicast Capable Networks
We present a transport protocol that uses IP multicasting to provide reliable multicast transport services for distributed applications. The Transport Protocol for Reliable Multicast (TRM) has a receiver{ oriented style of deening group membership and the lack of group information at the source. The distributed nature of the group membership information within TRM ensures scalability, which we ...
متن کاملGCAP: A New Multimedia Multicast Architecture for QoS
Despite its obvious suitability for distributed multimedia applications, multicasting has not yet found widespread application. Having analyzed shortcomings of today's approaches, we devise in the GCAP project a new endto-end transport architecture for multimedia multicasting that supports partial order and partial reliability. In this paper, we argue that, at the network layer, single-source m...
متن کاملM3POC: A Multimedia Multicast Transport Protocol for Cooperative Applications
Recent experiments in collaborative working have shown some technical limitations that delay the massive deployment of such applications. These limitations concern the support of a variable multimedia quality of service (QoS) that is often insufficient, multicast services badly adapted to the group requirements, and over all, the cooperative features of persons involved in a group work session ...
متن کاملA New Efficient Authenticated ID-Based Group Key Agreement Protocol
Group key agreement (GKA) protocols Play a main role in constructing secure multicast channels. These protocols are algorithms that describe how a group of parties communicating over a public network can gain a common secret key. ID-based authenticated group key agreement (AGKA) cryptosystems based on bilinear pairings are update researching subject because of the simplicity of their public key...
